I really look forward to our weekend in Conconully every year. This year I fished the lower reservoir only as I towed the boat with the RV and once in the lake. ITS STAYING THERE! LOL

First time on this body of water so after cruising around looking for deep water and finding the deepest near 50 foot I started just south of Liars cove camp ground and worked south and then west along the shore line in about 40 ish feet. Marking fish ON or very near the bottom so started one rod at 25 and the other at 35. Using an Arrow half fash and a Venom mini hoochie on the deep and orange on the other. Soon found that the fish were favoring the pink set up. Changed the orange out to everything else I could find before giving up and giving them more pink. LOL. Isnt it funny how we do not believe the fish and think we can do better?

Fished from 8ish to 11ish both Friday and Saturday before the skiers came out and took over their boey course. The fish were shiny, healthy and fat. Biggest was just short of the 15 mark but meat was vibrant orange and will smoke great.

1 Cup Vodka
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup rock salt.
Best smoking ever!
