Back to reality day.

Started off near the launch at a point working a jerkbait. Catch a ~1#. Poor bugger got all 3 treble hooks, but was released relatively unharmed since I pinch the barbs. Then pitched the dropshot around the area. Landed a couple more. One of them had half a dropshot stuck in it's mouth. Removed it to give the fish a little bit of peace. Is this yours?

Stopped off at the area where I caught that 4# yesterday and see a couple marks on sonar. DS straight down and "video gamed" the first bass. Saw my lure on the bottom on sonar, then saw the fish go after it. Pretty cool. Only about a 1.5# SMB. Then fan cast around and set the hook on a better fish. 2.31#. Not bad start. Unfortunately that was the biggest confirmed bass all day.

Swing by Farthole to see if anything is biting. Hmmm, very slow action. Spent about 15mins there before I got a bite. Maybe someone hit it earlier or the fish have been conditioned to not bite. Still caught a few. 3 or 4 that were right at about 2#. I lost one on the DS that felt like a big one. It was in deeper water. It was putting up a nice fight. I wasn't even pulling on it hard, just letting it do it's thing until it got tired. Then it just came unbutton. It never showed itself. Disappointing.

Got to another deep without any action.

Start working the bank with deep docks and rocks with only a couple of dinks to show.

Getting hot, so on way back, stopped off at Farthole for a few casts to see if the Carolina rig will get a strike. Got 2 on it. One came unbutton and other was about 1.5#.

Then DS and CR at the 4# hole with only a couple of nibbles but no hookup.

Handful of 2's. Some 1's and some even smaller.
