I threw the Yak in down by Ivars and paddled over to the Fremont bridge. Caught a Smallmouth very first cast on a dropshot rig. The fish was probably 10". I was using purple curly tail roboworm with a 3/16" oz weight. I only fished for an hour, but all said I had a fun time. The area by the bridge seems prime for smallmouth with the deep drops and pilings. Fishing from a Kayak can be difficult getting batted around by the wake from passing yachts. I might go back and hit it from the shore next time. Shaky head could be deadly.....
