8/21/2017 9:18:16 AMDeep fish are almost certainly whitefish. Hardly anyone fishes for them and it is a shame, as they abundant and tasty. Lake Superior Whitefish constitute the largest fish mass in Roosevelt and I have yet to meet someone who has caught one.

8/22/2017 11:11:47 AMI agree with bowlguy. White are underfished and un-appreciated species. I fish for them in November and December above vernita bridge on the Columbia river. My buddies and I always catch our limits and once you learn how to de-bone them properly, taste great as fish tacos or smoked which I prefer.

8/23/2017 7:53:07 AMThanks for the Clapp report. Nice lake to fish when the fish are bitting. Some years the kokes can be pretty decent I had hopes for a good season on billy clapp this year as I was catching kokes on Banks earlier this year. Try Deep lake in the area. Lots of kokes but smallish.
