Things are heating up a bit in the river. The fish were running strong. They were jumping all over. I fished from about 4:30pm to 7. I personally did not catch anything but the guy anchored in his boat directly in front of me caught a male pink. He was floating a pink jig in the swift part of the river directly in a large school of fish .

My estimate is that approximately 1 hour after high tide the fish seem to run the strongest at least where I was fishing from. As the sun started to set the fish started calming down and coming closer to shores. That was the moment when I had to leave. I left with no fish but there is still hope. I have heard the best time to fish lately is in the morning. Unfortunately I am required to go to my real job.

Keep on fishing. They are out there.
