Went to Rotary park for my first ever attempt at catching a salmon, I had high hopes despite not knowing what I was doing. Thanks to a nice couple of people fishing nearby they gave me a couple of pointers and set me on the right path. By the time I finally made it to the park and got a lure in the water it was about 0800. I found a little nook along the bank and used a pink squid and some fluffy pink one as well. I lost three jigs, had no bites bit I think I am getting it figured out so it's all good. Stayed till about 1030 as the tide seemed to be going out then I spent another hour scouting potential places to fish.
