Probably would be 5 stars if we fished all day. Went out in the morning on the Kenai River. World famous for Kings & Sockeye, this river also features two nice runs of Coho.
Up here for a week of fishing and filming with some family & friends of my pal and sometimes camera guy (he calls himself bait boy) Paul Hamilton.
Fishing with Brian Talbot out of River Quest, in a few hrs we put 4 bright fish in the box and released several others including sockeye, and pinks.
Brian pulls plugs, wrapped with sardines marinated in his special sauce. He anchors up and puts plugs right on the bottom in less than three feet of water for Coho.
Fun first day!
