Hey there and thanks for the good reports. I am going to get my kids out there on Lk. Wash. for some perch action. How much leader are you using between the drop shot weight and the hook? Also, when I was cruising around yesterday I metered a ton of fish between 30-40' deep. Is that the depth you are fishing?

On dropshot I will usually start at about 3' ish leader but will use it down to a couple feet when it breaks off. I have caught 6 different species on line anywhere from 4#-14# line in the same area so that part does not seem to be critical. I usually look (on panfish) for 15' to 25' depth and right at the edge of the weedline and or a dropoff if there is one.
I have caught my largest perch and crappie using a very big spoon bouncing it on the bottom at 60' while drifting! Made me say WTH!?!? When I got them in the boat but that is the exception for sure.
I use cut up power bait worms (senco) for pan fish and finding the color they like seems to be the key. White/transparent with fleck seems to be the most productive out of the get go. There are days they -do-not-bite-anything-. Kind of frustrating when I can see them 'real time' and it 'just ain't happnin'.
I can tell you exactly where to go, or at least where I go. There are so many fish in the 'Big Lake' I am not shy about sharing... Most of my reports pretty much include the basic area. Within that it is finding the school or attracting them to the boat. There are a LOT of great panfish areas all over it. Always fun to get the kids on fish if they are into it. I have some 'kids' poles that I take that I would not have any heartburn if they drop it in the lake or break something. I have used them for a full day of fishing to make sure they 'work'.
