Day 3 of a week long fishing trip on Roosevelt. Really had to work hard today to come home with 6 fish only one 18" the rest 13-14". Started at Hawk Creek and got only a couple strikes outside the mouth on the east side. Then went across and down river to A rock. Fished the north side down to across from Sterling Point and found a few fish but it wasn't consistent. Had three lines out from 150-200 feet with 1-2 oz at 2mph. Most fish hit on orange kekeda and chartreuse flies tipped with worm and/or corn. Weather was better, no rain today.

Been meaning to comment on your posts lately. I really appreciate you using the flies and sticking with them throughout your trip. I've always had a tough time this time of year locating and pinning down a consistent pattern. Looks like your finding fish and getting them to bite. It's always fun finding those big ones mixed in there. Sounds like a great trip. Good luck with the rest of the fishing you have ahead of you. Take care, Dave
