No Coho love for me today (Friday) on Lk Washington. Stone cold skunk. Tried every combination I could think of looking for some magic, hoochies, squid, herring, Coho Killers, Old Goats, bucktail flies, Ace Hi flies, BCP's, different flashers and no flashers, but no ceegar.

Think the weather change may have been a big part of it. Fish were out in the deeper water and down pretty deep, in the 85-100ft range. There are a LOT of fish out there but they had a serious case of lockjaw. Thats the way it goes. Hopefully it will change for the weekend warriors.

Fished 520 bridge, Evergreen Pt and Moss Bay area.

Hey Randy, that's been the case for me as well. Released about 6 kings in the last 3 outings. Skunked on the Coho though. They are lock jaw forsure.

It DOES suck when fish are not biting. Particularly when you can see them and throw the entire tackle box at them with no results. Better luck next time!

What speed or speeds were you trolling? Did you ever try vertical jigging when you saw a good grouping?

Tried 1.8-3.0 for speed. Didnt try vertical jigging. Never even thought of it. Might just do the trick.

I haven't tried it in Washington either, but if the fish are stacked up, could possibly work. And it would be way more fun to connect with one that way. They will typically hit it on the way down, so it may feel you are on the bottom with the line slack, but if you know that isn't the case, start reeling in really quickly. Good luck!
