The bites have been as you described, like hung on the bottom, but not moving until you put the pressure on. I don't have an accurate way of measuring weight, but did you get a length on the 1.5#? Your depth of fishing is the same as mine. Might see you out next week if I don't go chasing walleye in Eastern Washington then. Do you fish on the east side of the mountains at all?

Typically, anything around 14" will be 1#. 15-16" will be ~ 1.5-1.75#. 17" starts hitting the 2#. 18# about 3#.
I generally don't bother weighing anymore unless it's something "big". Now big can be relative. It may be big for that day if you know what I mean, lol. Once in a while, I'll weigh one just to make sure I'm guessing close enough, especially when they are all the same size it seems.
I try camp/fish in Eastern WA once a year, typically before summer starts. Wasn't able to make it this year though. It's usually at Banks or PotHoles. I want to fish Moses in the boat, but don't know of any campgrounds around there yet.

10/6/2017 11:00:34 PMThere is Cascade Campground in Moses, but I haven't tried it. There are a couple of nice weather windows this week at Potholes, so I may try to get a day in over there. Always the game of watching for clear weather with low wind, which is not a common combination.
