Well, the camping at Jerrys Landing was very nice and cheaply priced. That was the good part. The lake could only be described like this: Weeds, weeds, and more weeds! I was expecting the lake to be bad but this was a swamp. In ten feet of water the weeds were touching the surface and there were floating mats of milfoil covering close to half of the open water. I was constantly cleaning balls of weeds off of the Minn Kota and the bite was just as brutal as the weeds. We only managed two small bass and talked to several fisherman who didn't fair any better. The resort owner told us that the weeds were the worst they've seen in years but they usually start to diminish soon. So, bottom line, I would avoid this lake until fall when the weeds start to shrink (or even next spring)! Then go try to catch one of the 6+ pound bass this lake is famous for!
