Launched at noon with light rain coming down with a strong wind. Normally use my trolling motor but had to use the big engine to maintain track. Initially set-up for trout but after an hour of nothing switched over to pink flasher and pink hoochie with garlic corn. The other pole had a green hoochie with garlic corn. Set the downriggers at 15 ft and let the lines out 70 ft behind the boat. The clouds left, the sun came out, and the wind died for about a half-hour. I was able to maintain a 1.2mph speed. Picked up the 13 inch first and after I got him out of the net, the other pole tripped. This kokanee taped out at 16 inches. Tried to troll back over the same spot, but the wind came up and forced me off the water.

Thanks for the report. Depending on the size of your boat, you might consider running a pair of drift socks off the bow. It really helps in the wind, as it keeps the wind from pushing the bow around, and lets you run your trolling motor at a little higher RPM while still maintaining the slower overall speed.
