Decided to give vernita a try even though I have read that fishing has been tough there. Launched at vernita bridge and headed upriver. Tried the Poweline area with no luck and decided to head up some more to the hatchery hole. Had 1 takedown using diver and eggs but was a swing and a miss. Decided to try the deep holes by the dam, but nothing after spending maybe 2 hours up there. Decided on the way back to the launch to give the power line area a try and was rewarded with a nice fish. It was oscar’s first salmon and he enjoyed the fight. Very few fish rolling and only saw a handful caught. Very tough fishing
