My schedule is booked for the next few weeks so yesterday was the only day that I could get out (Rain or Shine)!
I used my new set-up, a Rocky Mtn. Tackle Dodger and my own color combination of a Mack's "smile" blade. The Rainbows loved it.
It rained hard (on and off) for the first two hours, then was fantastic weather for the next 2-1/2 hours. No rain and very light winds.
I trolled at 0.8 to 1.0 mph and had a hook up about every 20 to 25 minutes. The fish were great and put up some good fights. I even caught what I think is a trout in spawning colors?? The first one like this that I have caught. Thanks.

Yes looks like a male rainbow close to spawning. He's developed a little bit of a kype.

Looks like a great day of fishing...That is certainly a spawning trout. Hopefully you let him go. Nahwatzel was stocked first week of October I believe. Fortunately you had a bimini cover those look like big rain drops!

Yes, I removed the hook and released as quick as possible. He was strong and swam away VERY quickly. Do they spawn in the lake shallows or need to find one of the two small creeks that enter this lake?

The mouth extends past the eye, so I believe it's a cutthroat in spawning colors, and not a rainbow. Its a beauty!
