Well, THAT sucked! Un-Pickled the boat and was on the water just after sunrise. I should have stuck to the ‘Perch Plan’ I had decided on the day before, use the new electronics to find the big balls of Perch, like I have done before, and fish them.
Well, the next morning I got to thinking that they have been catching Cutthroat Trout in Sammamish so maybe I should give that a shot. I put the downrigger gear in the boat and headed to ‘The Big Lake’.
Got set up and spotted fish all over the water column from 10’ to 100’. None would bite. In fact some acted like they were scared to death of the boat, diving, turning and heading direcly away. Hmmmmm.
Ran out of time and had to head home. Still nice to be on the water though as It has been a while.
