Humbling day at The Beav on NYE.....started out bad. Forgot my waders at home. 1 hour later I was back only to find out I broke my net budgie cord during my fit of reloading my toon to head back home. Not a good start.

On the water by 11am. Foggy and cold. Hit the far end of the lake and fished till 3pm. Two fish on that came off and two small bumps. Snagged my lure that had the two fish on just reeling it in and lost it. Crazy day, but humbling for sure.

Only saw two fish caught from a powerbait guy in the middle of the lake near the last point. Both were caught rather quickly after he had nothing the entire time. This was about 2pm. I trolled that area after he left and nothing.

Over 20 strikes the day before and only 4 today.....why it’s called fishing I guess.

Off to Munn Lake to start 2018 since it was so good to me in 2017. Maybe Beaver next weekend.
