I was surprised to land a couple bright coho this week on the Nooksack. The fishing has been hit or miss for me over the last couple of weeks. There are some nice bulls in the system, and maybe a unicorn or two. Unfortunately the netting closure date was (12/31/17) and nets are still in as of yesterday (1/4/18). Overall the river has been in good condition for fishing with the cold and somewhat clear weather, just not as many fish as there should be with commercial netting happening into January.
