Hey VMV, i just started squid fishing... do you take your own light there?
I got a flood light that I plan to take with me to the pier next time, just need to think of a way to keep it pointing down to the water

Hello,
It's my second Squid Season here in Puget Sound. And I'm still learning. Yes I do have my own LED120W 12V and deep cycle battery ( for electric motor ). This season is coming to the end. For next season , personally I'd like to buy Honda EU2000I 2000 Watt portable generator, super quiet, up to 8hrs on 1 gall of gas, and Flood light LED, warm white, 2800-3200K(Temperature). IP65. Squid likes more natural light . My fishing buddy was using lately only Flood Light here at Edmonds Pier. Because pier has GFI outlets. But couple of days ago City of Edmonds , somehow turned power off. Better to have generator and Flood Light. Usually we start fishing for squid at Golden Gardens in late September, and then moving to Edmonds in the end of December. Last year I was fishing also Seacrest Park. Some times you can catch squid when it's daylight. Back in November our friends did it in downtown of Seattle. Ferries Wheel dock from 12pm to 4pm, with 10lbs limits. Let me know if you need more info. I 'd be glad to share what I know already.
