Yellow perch : some of them small size. But many of them 10 - 12". Cutthroat trout : 16"- 18". Also we were catching Pea mouth chub. Beautiful day. Cannot complain. Fishing was really good. Coming back again. Tight Lines.

Usually you can find them everywhere , depends on season and weather conditions of course. Summer time you can find them closer to shore in 10-20' of water. Winter months - in 60-70' of water. September,October - in 35-40' of water. But again it depends. I've had days before when I knew Perch is there but for some reason it did not want to bite. It happened to me when I fished for Perch in Kirkland in 2016 February 9th , Lake Washington, and it was good, almost non stop action. Same day, same place, same depth/s, in 2017 - nothing, not even one bite. I don't know why? Wind's direction, water temperature, air pressure, bait, God knows probably why. I'm fishing for Yellow Perch here in WA state for a long time. And believe it or not, I'm still learning. Sammamish Lake is kind of new for me. I don't fish Sammamish Lake a lot. But Washington Lake - yes, I can gladly share some info with you if you want me too.

Hey VMV1998, Were you using any flasher, or just straight lead and worm? How did you determine your place to anchor? I assume that you viewed fish on your finder, then set anchor. Normally, I have anchored in more shallow, but it sounds like 60' was quite successful.

I did not use any flusher. Only Drop shot, and worms. We did see some fish on our sonar, but it was hard to see Yellow Perch. We just used our intuition I would say. Changing spots and depths. And as soon as we had 1st bite we let anchor go. Again , it was a good day, but perch started biting good I'd say 2 hours before Sunset. And it was wind from North, perch usually not active when it's wind from North.
