Well I decided today was the day to wet my line for the first time this year. I hit one of my early season puddles to see what was what and fished from 230pm to 5pm. I used a crappie jig tipped with worms I scavenged for a bit but mostly a 4" senko. Didnt get any bites but did see some small fish feeding on bugs in the shallows in various areas. I ran into a few friendly fisherman. I heard of a few largemouth caught around the area when it was real warm last week so I'm getting excited. It was nice to get out and get some in person Intel. Great day to be out, pretty warm and very mild breezes. I was surprised to see this puddle as low as it was since my fishing buddy told me a different puddle had very high water still.
