After a multi-year fishing hiatus living across country, I had been diligently preparing and waiting for the new license year to start. I planned on trolling in my Sea Eagle 9 inflatable boat. Inflated the boat, loaded up, was about to push off from the launch and heard gurgling beneath... Hole in the boat - no patches on hand. Deflated (both mentally and the boat), packed everything back into the car and re-rigged my poles for shore fishing. It was a very disappointing morning.

Luckily for me, TMBob was coming in from a morning of fishing and gave me some tips. After he took off I limited within 30 minutes. Can't thank him enough for helping me turn around an extremely rough morning I had been looking forward to for a very long time.

Time to buy some patches and do a leak test to make sure it doesn't happen again, but in the mean time I'll rig up my lightweight rod for shore fishing around the county.
