Spent the weekend fishing Windmill, Canal, and Heart Lake with my brother. Set up camp Thursday late evening, started at Windmill Friday morning.

The area new for both of us, we spent a lot of time just exploring the lake, trolling a fly, in our pontoon boats. Caught fish regularly, nothing of size to brag about - but the fish were active, eager, and kept the lines tight. Fish average between 10 - 12" and looked very healthy. Sometimes I thought I had a big fish on my 5wt fly rod, and only to land a 10" trout.

Weekend was good - tried a little night fishing, but no luck - with the weather system that moved through, and zero moon visibility, we couldn't gather a bite in the dark night.

Weather was overcast, with a manageable wind coming from the north on 4/6.
