My son Logan and I arrived shortly after the stormy weather ended. We launched from the Lake Spokane Campground launch. The lake was glass, the sun was out, and we headed for the southwest end of the lake.

Trolling down by the dam (look at my Hot Spots) we set the downriggers at 5' to 10', 40' back and trolled around 2mph. We were using Kekeda Trolling flies in black and orange, tipped with a half worm each. We also used WiggleFin Action Discs size 1 to give the flies some action. We couldn't keep them off! We had our limits shortly thereafter and headed home.

Thanks for the great report and video Aaron. Doesn't look like you could have found a better day.

Thanks! Very true. It was a horrible day just minutes before arriving at the lake, but couldn't have been better by the time we arrived at the dam. Apparently back in town is was pouring rain and marble sized hail!

Thanks for the report Aaron. Some times I wonder why I drive so far to catch fish! We live at Nine Mile only 3 miles from the upper end of Lake Spokane. AKA Long Lake to those of us who have lived here forever. Thanks again for sharing the great video too.

Thanks Al! For such a close resource it is really underused/reported. I'll probably be fishing there a lot more this summer. If only someone could show me a good spot for Crappie.
