We decided to play hooky from work based on the WX forecast, really good decision. Jay and I fished the same areas as on Friday with even better results. The water dropped 2-3 feet over the weekend so it's getting even more sporty depending on how far upriver you want to go. We jigged various areas up the Arm and caught eyes in 8-33 FOW. A black jig head and avocado red flake worm/grub was the best producer although I did catch a few on a silver blade bait. There are a lot of smaller fish moving upriver which added to our numbers: 62 eyes (kept 18) and 10 smallies (all released). The eyes we kept were all between 16 and 21 inches, no big females this trip. The smallies were all between 2-2 1/2 lbs. and put up a nice fight, especially in the current. The water clarity is still not bad but I'm sure that will change with all of the rain we've had.

Fishon - Take your rain gear. If you try anywhere from the mouth of the Spokane Arm upriver you should find fish. That's a long run from Hunters but it's that time of year and the migration for the spawn is on. I'm sure you can also find fish out in the main river and around Wilamont creek may also produce; that huge flat, if its not out of the water, ought to be an area where they also spawn.

Hi CCTMARK I do most my fishing around 7 Bays, the eyes are not biting there right now. How far up (in miles) is buoy 1 from Fort Spokane.
Thanks for all your tips and advice!!
