Hello everyone!
I had to work today in the morning, so instead of doing chores I decided to go down to the lake & take some time for me. I had the boat in the water about 1/4 till 11AM. Started trolling with a wicked lure hoochie with 1/8oz weight. Not long after that it was fish on that put up a good fight! It was around 12" long so back in the water it went to grow unharmed. My other pole had a weeding ring on with a 1/4oz weight & no hook ups with that set up. I switched out with another wicked lure & same weight just to see if there would be a difference. Yes there was, an occasional bump but nothing stuck. All the fish where caught on 1/8oz weight. I wanted to try my new pole that I picked up late last year. It is a 5'6" spinning rod which is a noodle of a rod. Had a lot of fun with it. The 15" felt like a salmon that just peeled of the line & where jumping out of the water. I caught three 15" & a couple of 13". All where nice & fat. It was steady action so I keep on fishing & caught around 8 more fish, all released unharmed. Sorry about not having any picks, it was a spure of the moment and I just did not bring my camera. It was a little windy but manageable.
