Fished Munn Lake twice this week due to spring break.
Monday was the best weather day I've had recenty, with sunny skies and little wind. Fished 8:30-2pm or so. Fishing was great, catching was average. I ended the day with three, all 15-18".
Caught the first rainbow on a copper chironomid close in, the picked up a long but relatively skinny cutthroat by the brush in the mouth of the channel. The cutt took a black chironomid so slowly I didn't notice until I started to retrieve. He also barely put up a fight coming in. Another boat was having some luck trolling, so I used an orange spider soft hackle thing and trolled down and back. Had a couple strikes and caught a nice rainbow which gave the best fight of the day.
Took my brother-in-law out in my boat to flyfish for the first time Sunday 4-15. He caught the first rainbow trolling and then nothing for a bit. I caught a bluegill by accident. We trolled more and I caught a fatter cutthroat down on the far end. Trolling back I landed another rainbow on a black wooly bugger. Total of three fish again 15-18"
Pictures are from sunday, slight rain near the end of the day.
