4/19/2018 7:48:58 AMI caught one of those last fall in Rattlesnake. The one I caught was much smaller, more like 6". My best guess is that it is some type of chub fish, but I was never able to satisfactorily pin-point the species.

4/19/2018 8:31:38 AMDoes that fish have a "sucker mouth"? Its hard to tell in the net. If so I think it is a white sucker (aka common sucker) (Catostomus comersoni). Im not sure if they are native to washington, we have several others that are including salish sucker and large scale sucker, but that one seems too silver to be either of those.

4/19/2018 2:23:45 PMid agree, its a common sucker I think as well. they are native to the state and look similar to pikeminnow in the body like that, but the mouth does have that "sucker look". they are in many lakes throughout the state... Lake Wa, Sammamish, etc etc etc.

4/19/2018 7:03:07 PM100% Sucker Mouth.....Color has some Gold to it....zoom in on the scales towards the tail area. The Gold color can be seen. It stood out more in person as ai notice this right away.
