This was my first outing on Beaver with the kayak, had fished there once last year from shore but got skunked so wasn't sure what to expect. Got the kayak launched around 11:30 and had my first fish less than 5 minutes later while trolling a blue/silver God's Tooth. Had a few more bites but no hookups on my first circuit of the lake. Put a blue/silver flatfish on my other line and got a couple hits before I was able to hook one up. Swapped out the God's Tooth for a bright orange flatfish and got a lot of hits on that but only hooked up one more by the time I left around 3:00.

As I was coming in to the boat launch a shore fisherman pulled in a small trout and then pulled in a second as I was emptying my gear from the kayak a couple minutes later, he was pretty happy! The weather was sunny and warm all day and a beautiful day to be out on the water.
