For Wednesday and Thursday - basically the same report for both days. Did my usual route across the top of the lake and had decent action with the wiggle hoochie and brad's cut plug in green/chart. I caught most about 100yds in front of the big community piers on the east side. (going to see if I can get the hotspot thing to work). They were down at approx 25ft in 50ft of water (four colors of leadcore with 20ft leader going a little fast, maybe 2.5mph) The folks fishing off that dock are probably tired of watching me pull in fish ;)

On my way in on Thursday, I tried an Australian lure, the Tasmanian Devil (trout sized in green/blue) - no dodger. Its sort of a hybrid between a spoon and and buzz bomb. Good action, also looks like it would cast really well.

Do you mean the community piers on the west side?

The big metal ones on the east side at the very North end of the lake

Yes, those tasmanian devils do work well. Haven't used them in many years as they were from my friend's tackle box. That color should work fine. No dodger or flasher is needed. Were you marking fish at that depth on your sonar or just chose the depth for another reason?

Maybe I havent given my tasmanian devils enough water time, the first few tries got nothing and I put them away. Ill have to dig them back out.

Re:depth I usually go four colors of leadcore (25ish) once spring hits and pretty much leave it at that. I can't go much deeper anyway. If there's surface feeding I'll go two colors. I never go 3 colors, numerology-wise that just seems wrong ;)

re: Tazzies I saw them on amazon and thought I'd give it a try. The Aussies rave about them. Looks like there are thousands of colors and patterns. I also like that the color is on the inside of the plastic.

I tried it behind a dodger without any luck. Removed it and noticed how much better the action was. I got a nibble within a few minutes and then a hard takedown a while later. I rigged two single hooks with a couple beads, like a hoochie or wedding ring setup. It has a nice swaying motion on it's own.
