I headed out to my sister in laws cabin on Haven Lake with my daughter Jennifer and buddy Austin. We arrived at the lake at 7:30am and had our lines in soon thereafter. Almost immediately I had a nice chunky rainbow on the line and it didn't take long to fill up the stringer. On my 3rd cast of the day I hooked into a serious fish. It played like a super trout as it shot back and fourth wildly. When I finally landed the beast it turned out to be a 22" Steelhead. I don't think I ever recall pulling a Steelhead from Haven Before. I know it sees some salmon in the fall but this was a nice surprise on opening day.
