This was my first time on Langlois. Spent the day trolling an Olive Willy on on rod and a black Wooly Bugger on the other from my kayak.
Getting out onto the lake is more challenging than most launches as there are a number of big(!) submerged trees in the launch area making it like an obstacle course to get out on to the lake. There are also a number of submerged downed trees in other parts of the lake to keep an eye out for along the banks, a couple sticking quite far out.
Hazards aside, the fishing was decent, over the course of the I netted about a dozen trout ranging from 3 dinks (about 8 inches) to a couple decent ones of about 14" that set my fly reel screaming in the rod holder. The Wooly Bugger outcaught the Olive Willie 9 to 3 today. I caught fish all over the lake, even got one cruising in 6' in the middle where the fish finder was saying it was 98' deep. There were a number of other float tubes, pontoons, and john boats out so it got a little crowded but not too bad, just had to pay attention were I was pedaling.
It was cloudy all morning and the sun finally came out about 2:30 or so, I packed it in around 3:00 and got my last fish as I was reeling in my lines prior to running the ramp obstacle course.
