Well Lake Chelan has been interesting lately. The fish still have not schooled up like normal. I believe it’s because of a late bloom of zooplankton and the feed has not moved down into the basin yet. We fished Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Sunday was our tough day with fish scattered everywhere. Monday we set down right on top of the school and had 6 fish in the boat in 10 minutes. We finished with thirty fish by 8am. Tuesday was a little slower we hat two man limit with a couple bonus cutthroat and a nice rainbow by 9. Amazingly we caught 10 fish on top water, pulling dodger and spinner flat lined on top 50-100 ft behind the boat. All the others came between 15-50 ft. With early limits Monday we ran Down lake and tried for lakers and boated one 5lbs and a 8lbs in an hour or so. Overall the fishing is pretty good but your going to have to put time in on the lake. It’s not a drop in the hat right now but that will change.
