Went down to Coulon Park near my home for a sunset possible bite for what ever I could get to bite. I brought my fly rod with a Dry fly and my Slip Bobber jig set up.
First fish was a smal, rock bass off of the Dry fly. I had to minor raises before I hooked one. Switching to jig set up as it got darker I landed 6 more rock bass again on the smaller size.
Saw a school of my guess would be salmon smolts and something chasing one in the shallower was based on the dorsal fin ripping thru the water zig zagging thru it. Also had a nice rise at my Bobber but I am not think it was a LMB because it was not that big of a water push compared to the other times I have seen a fish go after my Bobber.
First fish on a Dry this year and first fish down at Coulon.
