Shows you just how different a day can make. My birthday weekend camping trip was at Alta this year. Got to the State Camp ground Thursday night in the middle of a wind storm, Lauched and got the RV set up and the Catch Anchor dragging and a double knot to a tree at the other end enjoyed the night.

Friday AM up and at them! The Kokanee in the lake are much bigger than last year and footballs. But first fish was a Rainbow that was fiesty and I was excited for a good day. The next Koke thou, ripped the line out of the clip and was airborne. I thought it had to be a huge rainbow due to the exciting show. But when I netted it and seen it was kokanee, I was blown away. Caught my 5 limit in less than 3 hours. The Trolling motor is still out of action so made my planned fishing for large mouth bass for the rest of the day not very easy.

Saturday was the the day from heck. Alta lake is not big, and with the holiday weekend upon us, this bathtub was FULL of speed boats, jet skis, swan float tubes, Kayaks and paddle boards! 4 hours of fishing in this got me two Kokanee's, one rainbow and two 1# bass, and a sunburn.
