Last minute decision to go fishing today found me at the launch about 11:30.
There were 4 boats pulling out while I was setting up my toon. After talking to each one what I should have done was pack it in and go home...they were all correct... the bite has turned off...TOTALLY!

Only 1 boat was fishing Crappie and Perch...they blanked completely, not even a bite they said.
The other 3 were trout fishing and only 1 boat had 2 small fish to show fo their efforts.

But...a bad day on the water as they say....so I tried anyway.
I threw just about everything I have at the fish..could buy a bite until I put on a 1/32 oz. the trout magnet in earthworm color. First drop I get a perch about 9”. After that...nothing the rest of the day. I put on a mepps spinner on 1 rod and a wedding ring on the other and trolled back to the launch at 4.

Darned leftovers for dinner again!

I have yet to catch a Crappie in this lake! I thought I was doing something wrong but...???????
