So I must still be getting over jet lag from Sydney for posting such a late report- we had to postpone our annual men's ministry trip to Sun Lakes until June due to my winning the Australia trip with my company! Not used to the added people, jet skis, water skiers and just overall busy resort but still had a great time!

This year I went over just a few days early to test the waters and to try some others lakes before the gang showed up on Friday- The lake is full of hold overs and aggressive fish as the take downs were epic with screaming runs and jumps off the back of the boat! They were hitting just about everything I threw at them so was excited for the boys to show up Friday!

Was able to drop in to Deep lake as I always enjoy the beauty and serenity of the jewel of the loop! Got my limit of kokanee on Wednesday afternoon and though they are not that big yet, there are fight hard and always fun to catch! Hit Chelan on Thursday for some epic lake trout fishing and even hooked a king but it ended up breaking the leader on the surface with his teeth!

So Friday the gang arrived and we set up in the evening to test the waters! Some had success as others we trying to find the right combination to get them to bite. On Saturday morning I chose to stay on the dock and fish with a grandfather and grandson as they did not have a boat or felt very comfortable being in one so we had a good time getting to know each other a little better. He even hooked into the smallest fish of the weekend!

All in all a great time again of fishing and fellowship and will say there are a lot of rainbow smolts in the lake too so this promises to be nothing short of an epic destination for years to come as these fish just keep growing! Plus the meat quality on these fish is amazing!
