Sorry. Once again this report is for the span of days from the 14th to the 17th. Things started out slow on Thursday. Went up the Spokane arm and found very few fish. So we can say a 2 star day for the fishing that day, but the weather was great. Was a nice boat ride! Went to Hawk Creek the next day. Wasn't quite in the bay. Just a touch north to the very beginning of the bay was where we fished. Didn't seem to matter the color of worm harness or type. They bit on everything. Water depth was from 6 feet to 30 feet. We caught fish at every depth. Trolled a short area. Maybe 300 yards. Each pass resulted in a couple hits and pretty much a fish every pass. Had trouble keeping them on. I know you think dull hooks, but I kept them sharp. I still keep a file on the boat and like sharp hooks. Don't know why they kept popping off. Saw several of them and they popped off right before getting to the boat. You got me. Saturday was even worse. Probably went through 4 dozen worms on Saturday. It was hot and heavy biting and fighting. Landing was another story. We did get several nice ones. Some were in that 14 to 16" range, but most were at least 18". Just couldn't hold on to enough to limit the boat any of the days. Had them to the boat, but not in. Did get several and was close to the limit. All are resting in the freezer right now. Well at least what we haven't ate yet. The 15th the wind kicked the place up early to Maytag washing machine status. Felt bad for the few small boats beating their way back to Ft. Spokane. They had a wet ride for sure! Saturday however was perfect out and Sunday was nice also. Fishing was great though over all. I hope everyone gets a chance to get over there! They seemed to like the rig moving around 1.8mph better than any other speed. I'm usually trolling slower, but they really grabbed at that speed. Like I said, didn't seem to matter if it was green, red, blue, bronze or the brand or type of spinner. Hopefully it hasn't changed this week. 1 oz. bottom bouncer. Wish I'd have had heavier. Had to be so far behind the boat. Seems someone forgot to restock his fishing box. I had to work this weekend or I'd of headed over to Moses and tried there again this weekend. Off to Canada for pike this next weekend.
