First cast right at about 9AM. Very calm and mild out on the water. Wanted to slow down a bit to see if i can get any big ones to bite. Have 6 rods tied up. Dropshot, tube, big swimbait, smaller swimbait, wacky, and jerkbait.

Did start off with the jerk in shallow to see if i could get any reaction bites. 4 casts in and catch myself a dink SMB. I drift to a point and rotating through my mess of rods. DS into about 10' of water on the point. Felt a very light tap. Lift up and feel a bit of weight. Continued lifting and it starts fighting, so i set the hook. Digs down at first, then starts going to my right , then starts rushing towards the surface. As it gets to the surface, instead of a jump, it digs back down. I get it back up again and see it's a decent LMB. Weighed 2# on the dot.

Continued similar pattern around the lake without much success. in 3.5hrs, 3 dink SMB with biggest maybe 13". The 2# LMB. And 1 perch. I felt the perch almost everywhere. Kept seeing the big school follow my lures back. I fished in 3' of water out to 25' today.

At least it was nice to be out on the water. Very calm until about 12PM. Then a light breeze turned on.
