Headed to Riffelake for my annual father-son fishing trip. The fishing wasn’t as hot as it was last year but we did manage quite a few Coho and small Kings. For every 14-17” we caught we weeded through 4 small fish that we let go. The best setups were a pink wiggle hoochie and a frog pattern Old Goat lure behind small flashers. I marked a ton of fish on the drops in really deep water but had no luck with the wire over 80’ deep. Talked to some guys who were catching the big ones at 130’ on the wire. Most fish we caught were 30-60’ on the wire. The evening bite from 6:30-8:30 was the best bite. We even nailed a handful flatlining a green Needlefish.

Had an amazing time with my dad, son and bro and his son. Three generations camping and fishing is hard to beat.
