Met up with fellow NWFR member, Kevin. Sorry, I forgot your online name.
We had 45 Min on Cle Elum, before the wind blew us off, and went up to Cooper.
We have both purchased HobiecMirage drive kayaks fairly recently, and this was my 1st time really focusing on the fishing. I’m loving the PA14, and now realize some accessory adjustments to make.

The fishing: Tons of fish marked in Cooper. We were dragging black Wooly Buggers, and the Elgin’s God’s tooth . Kevin caught a Kokanee, rainblow, and Brown trout. and prob a couple bows altogether.
I struggled with a few hits on multiple flys, streamers, and caught a bow on a black bugger.
Nice time on a beautiful subalpine lake with another great NWFR member to fish with, Thanks Kevin.

I may go back and break out money 1/8th oz jigs in the AM. (-:

It's AlfaFish (for Alfa Romeo's and Fishing). Those were my first ever Brown and Kokanee so that was fun, they were both on the blue/silver God's Tooth & my new down rigger set around 22 feet. I think it was 2 Rainbow's I landed both on the bugger on type III sinking line and lost a couple more. All in all was a great day with a new fishing friend! Definitely need to get back on Cle Elum to try and get my first Mackinaw.

Thanks for the reports guys.....nothing in the top 8’ at Copper? No downrigger for me. Any size?

Bob, the rainbows I caught were trolling a fly with sinking line so probably in 5' or so. Whenever I saw some fish at that level on the fish finder I'd usually get at least a bite, but most of the fish were deep.

Fish all over in the water column, some in top 10’, but certainly more at 20-25’
Text sent.

Sorry I didn't put two and two together on who that was. I knew you got a new Pro Angler. We followed you guys to the turn off at Cle Elum. That lake is no fun in the wind. Cooper treated us well. We landed a dozen browns and a few rainbows. The bite seemed to die for my client and I after the wind picked up. I know there are some big browns in that lake - I've seen them on my monitor. :)

It’s like when you run into Clint Eastwood in the grocery store.... I just kept my composure. (-:
