Hammer Down River Excursions departed onto the Salmon river around 8:30 a.m. on a pretty hot day averaging 95 degrees Fahrenheit. We kept cool by jumping in the river when possible and relaxing in the shallow water when the we pulled up to the white sand beaches. The water was about water at 71 degrees Fahrenheit and running at 6700 cfs. After a good lunch we pulled up a massive sturgeon fishing off of the back of the boat. A variety of bass were caught as well!
