Hammer Down River Excursions took a group out around eight o'clock in the morning on July 23 and had a really successful day sturgeon fishing! It was a hot day and being out on the river was a great! The size of the sturgeon caught were 9 foot, 7.5 foot, and 8.7 foot. Fishing from the back of the boat proved to be the best way to reel in the big fish. Several bass were caught as well throughout the day.
