Typical day at West Medical. Brought a buddy and his kids who've been hounding me to take them fishing. Launched at 7:30. Trolled around fruitlessly for about an hour before settling at my favorite spot where we anchored about 30' from shore. Right on cue at 9:30 the action started. I was using a sliding sinker on a light spinning setup (links below), with Zeke's/Mike's peach and orange. First one I hooked was on the smaller side. Didn't use the net to land it because, well, I'm a stubborn dumb-ass. Lost it at the boat. Lesson learned. I caught the next two over the next 45 minutes or so. I even let one of the kids land the 3rd one. She had a hell of a time getting it in. It did not want to come up from under the boat. Kept the rod bent all the way over the whole time. A good time was had by all. Well, maybe not by the girl's older brother who didn't see any action all day. LOL!
