First cast at about 7AM starting with a swimbait. I kept feeling little nips and eventually the paddletail got ripped off. Put on a new one and felt a few taps then some weight. Brought in a small squawfish. Continue casting the same area and get a small SMB. Kept seeing big schools of perch chasing after my lure.
Start fan casting out into deeper water and I land two 1# SMB and 3 even smaller SMB. I would follow up with the dropshot but no hookups.
Moved around and tried to force the dropshot but no bass bites on it. Done fishing by 11:30. Very slow fishing, with no size to them. Hope others did better. Only caught fish on the swimbait.
