Went out with two friends looking for crappie. The day started off too windy and we got pushed around pretty good. Picked up a few bass to start and then headed for some sheltered waters. Phil picked up a nice 35 inch tiger muskie on a rattle bait, I got one on a 2" berkley power minnow about 25-30 inches and Dave caught a nice 34 incher right at the boat! It followed his crankbait in but wouldn't take it so I suggested he swim his bait in a figure 8 pattern and the tiger musky hit it hard! That's him in the picture with his catch. We broke for lunch at the Picnic Pines restaurant then headed back out and proceeded to nail the crappie. We must have caught about 30 little ones but we managed about 9 keepers in 3 hours. Fish & Game was waiting at the public launch to check the fish. It's a minimum 9 inches for crappie in this lake so don't keep the short ones!
