3 of us fished Kingston first thing in the morning. I hit a big fish early in the morning on an OG2 fished behind a red racer flasher. Easily a 20 plus but had to go back as it was wild. Fish hit at about 95 ft with 95 ft of line out. After that it was mainly shakers for us and a few sublegal chinook. Around 9 we headed towards Jeff head for about an hour with nothing to show for our efforts. Decided to try our luck at the oil docks and again nothing. Around tide change we headed back to Jeff head to try for coho out in deeper water. Hit 3 coho in real short order using ace hi flies. After the 3 coho, one for each of us, we went back to chinook. More shakers and a few dogfish. About an hour of that we finally get a good hit with nice aerial displays and into the boat it goes. A decent 12 lb hatchery chinook. Had one more solid hookup but lost it midfight. Packed up and left around 3 with 1 keeper Chinook, 3 coho, 1 released wild Chinook and a few drive bys. Decent day of fishing.
