The Spokane river was a 10 minute walk from our vacation home. So everyone evening we walked down to the river and fished. Since the Spokane river is selective fear rules we had a limited assortment of lures. Trout magnets worked the best, under a float or not. We used both. We also used a variety of single point barbless roostertails and kastmasters. Biggest fish was probably 14 inches all we caught were small mouth bass. We saw 1 dead rainbow, and on the last night we was a sucker fish. We were in a stretch where there were rappids and long slow stretchs. The bigger fish came out from under big rocks. Also so and caught a bunch of craw fish. The trail follows the river and there are a bunch of spots along the river. The river is regularly checked. My mom and sister walked the trail regularly and saw game wardens and police officers checking tubers and fisherman.
