Launched from Mukilteo at 5:30a and fishing by 6:00a. Started trolling from Possession towards Shipwreck along the MA 8.2 and MA 9 line. Caught a chunky native coho around 6:30 on a double glow Gold Star with a Glow/Green Flasher and sent him on his way. About 30 minutes later caught a 22" hatchery Chinook and again put him back - same rig as the first one. Ended the day with another nice chunky coho around 8:30 on an ace high fly and purple haze flasher - again a native and he was back to swim another day. We ended up with (3) fish between 6a and 10a. Not fast and furious by any means but a fun morning especially for a Midwest boy just learning this fishery. All fish were caught between 30 and 50' on the DR. The rain and wind picked up by 9:30a and we decided to head home earlier than anticipated. Until next time.

Congratulations, sounds like a good morning. Not sure which side of the line you were on but in MA 8-1 and MA 8-2 you can keep wild coho this year.

10-4 - I wasn’t sure if I could fish MA 9 if I had a native in the box even if it was caught in 8-2

You are right about not fishing in MA 9 with a native in the box. That is a BIG NO. But if you are just north of that line you are good to go and you will find fish in 8.2.

We were in the same area on the 25th (just north of Shipwreck in 8-2). Once mist started, we dropped down a bit deeper. Got our second silver around 70' down around 10a. Was moving toward the shipping channel at that time. Got another hit trolling up the shipping lane border at the same depth. But wind/drizzle coming from the south made for a shortened day.
