I decided to beat the holiday jam at the Ft. Spokane boat launch. I took my buddy Jay out at first light and we headed upriver to Porcupine Bay. We trolled smile blades in 30-40 FOW at 1.1 mph; red, blue, and green were the best colors. We fished Blue Crick and the flat near the red barn. It was an OK day; we boated about 40 walleyes but only kept 13 between 16-20 inches to eat. The temp was 41 at launch and the water temp was 68. We definitely bundled up to stay warm at first but the day turned out to be beautiful. The wind picked up at about 1300 so we called it a day and headed to the cleaning station.
